Time for a return to where Ferrari was defeated.
2016 is going to be another
big year for Ford,
mainly because its all-new GT supercar is going to debut on both road and
track. The road-going
version is widely expected to have its debut next
month at Detroit, and the track variant will be arriving in time for
endurance racing season. Yes, it’ll be racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the
LM GTE Pro class, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Ford’s 1966 historic
overall victory. You know, when Carroll Shelby was brought in specifically to
beat Ferrari.
And like the original GT40, the new GT requires testing.
Lots of it, only now it’s an awful
lot more high-tech. On the other hand, some things don’t change, like
actual test runs. So kick back, relax, and welcome 2016 with this new Ford GT
track footage.
