[VIDEO] Ferrari 458 Speciale gets tested out by EVO

The guys from EVO have recently went for a spin in the new and impressive version of the Ferrari 458 Italia, the 458 Speciale.

We have recently found a new reason to show you the impressive Ferrari 458 Speciale which has nothing to do with the crashes which recently happened in Europe or in Africa. We are talking about a new review of the Italian supercar which is signed by EVO, so if you are would like to order such a model, or you a simply a Ferrari fan, you should definitely scroll down and click the play button.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale has been officially unveiled back in 2013 and it is a hotter version of the 458 Italia. This is the spiritual successor of the 360 Challenge and the F430 Scuderia and it is taking its power from the same 4.5 liter V8. The unit is now producing a total output of 605 HP (445 kW) and it has a peak torque of 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). Thanks to these figures, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint is now made in just 3 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph), the supercar needs just 9.1 seconds.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - YOUR favorite racecars – 4. Ferrari 330 P3/P4 - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

3301 1

Ferrari 330 P3/P4
American race fans seem to have a love-hate relationship with Ferrari. There's the F1 race team, whose penchant for political gamesmanship has at times overshadowed its on-track prowess, despite its place atop the all-time winner's list. And there's its heritage in sports car racing, in which it often played the role of arch-rival to American cars and teams like Ford, Shelby and Chaparral.
But, the cars themselves? Rarely do you hear any bad things to say about them. It would be a challenge indeed to name a marque that has been able as consistently to create works of automotive art that also set the pace than the house that Enzo built. The 330 P series of sports prototypes is surely a case in point.
Built at the height of Ferrari's bitter rivalry with Ford, the 330 P3 of 1966 was intended to carry on the domination that the 250 P had maintained through the first half of the 1960s, in the face of Ford's all-out assault.
The P3 incorporated fiberglass doors – a first for Maranello – while the 410 horses of its 4.0-liter fuel-injected V-12 were transmitted via a 5-speed gearbox. An F1-style monocoque chassis was augmented by some stressed body panels.

After Ford GT40s won the opening two rounds of the World SportsCar Championship in '66, Ferrari fought back with wins on home ground at Monza and at Spa with the P3. But the critical battleground of Le Mans went the Americans' way as the armada of factory-supported GT40s swept the first three places, while all three works P3s failed to finish. Ford went on to edge the Italians by two points in the constructor's championship that year.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - [VIDEO] Ferrari 458 Italia gets crashed in Latvia by drunk driver showing off - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

[VIDEO] Ferrari 458 Italia gets crashed in Latvia by drunk driver showing off

This impressive Ferrari 458 Italia will need some important servicing in order to return to its former glory after its driver, who had a few drinks, tried to show off.

The newest supercar incident is coming all the way from Latvia and it involves a Ferrari 458 Italia. According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the Italian supercar in question has been crashed by its driver who has tried to show off after having a few drinks. The good news is that no one was hurt in the crash, the bad news is that we cannot say the same on the 458 Italia.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is a rear mid-engined and rear-wheel drive supercar which has been in production since 2009. The model has been introduced during the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and it replaced the F430. The 458 Italia is the coupe version and the roadster is called the 458 Spider. Power is being provided, in both vehicles, by the same 4.5 liter V8 engine, which is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The total output produced by the engine stands at 562 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - That Ferrari Enzo Destroyed In CT Can Now Be Yours For Not Cheap - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

That Ferrari Enzo Destroyed In CT Can Now Be Yours For Not Cheap

Remember that Ferrari Enzo that got destroyed by two dealership technicians on what appeared to be a joy ride?! Well guess what! It can now be yours! All for the low, low, low price of at least a $560,000 repair bill.

That Ferrari Enzo Destroyed In CT Can Now Be Yours For Not Cheap
The actual price isn't settled yet, as it's being sold at an auction with sealed bids, but you can guarantee it'll be up there, stratospheric repair bill or not. That's because the auction company places the retail estimate at $1,500,000, and considering the fact that Enzos have recently been put on the market for $2,600,000, you won't be doing so bad.

That Ferrari Enzo Destroyed In CT Can Now Be Yours For Not Cheap

Okay, so it's got a salvage title, but you've now got the chance to buy a semi-(in)famous Enzo from a bedding king who clearly doesn't want anything to do with it anymore. Who wouldn't want that???

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - Gulf Racing Obsession - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

Hidden in a Barn is One Man's Gulf Racing Obsession - Photography by Amy Shore for Petrolicious

Some of the most exquisite workshops I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting have also been the most difficult to find. Like hidden rooms behind library bookcases or James Bond’s secret gadget lair, these awe-inspiring spaces contain that air of mysterious secrecy about them. It also makes them a real pain to locate. Thankfully, I had navigator-extraordinaire Kirsten Bright with me – wife of engineer and race driver, Mr. John Bright.

After many "left here"s and "right there"s along roads where my wing mirrors skimmed the hedges on either side, we pulled up in front of a large barn building. To the unsuspecting eye, one would expect to find nothing more than rusting farm equipment stored inside. However, as I hopped out, we were greeted by John in his blue, oil-smeared overalls. This mysterious barn in the middle of nowhere wasn’t a simple farmyard building, but the workshop of the incredible ROFGO Collection.

In 2008, Mr. Roald Goethe, with the help of Mr. Adrian Hamilton, began his collection of iconic Gulf cars, starting with an ex-works Gulf Ford GT40. Just six years on, this collection has grown to twenty-nine stunning machines including the likes of a McLaren M14, a Porsche 917, a Howmet TX and an array of Mirage cars. Not to mention the huge Gulf transporter to ferry all of these timeless machines around.

Working alongside John are Messrs. Ted Higgins and Viv Cowley who happily toured me around the workshop and showroom at Duncan Hamilton as I attempted to drag my dropped jaw along with me. This collection of cars was truly incredible.

One of my personal favourite vehicles of the day was the previously mentioned Howmet TX. One of only two, the TXs (Turbine eXperimental) are each powered by a helicopter engine. It made its racing debut at the 1968 Daytona 24 Hour race. Driven by creator and racer, Mr. Ray Heppenstall, along with Mr. Dick Thompson and Mr. Ed Lowther, it reached an impressive 3rd overall before a jammed wastegate caused the car to crash. "Want to hear it fired up?" John asked me. The excitement buzzing from me was certainly visible as I vigorously nodded. An external battery, a jack and ten minutes later, the thrumming sound of a helicopter engine thundered through the barn, followed by a cup of tea and an anecdote of the time John and Kirsten took a wrong turn in it and ended up driving through a forest with the fear of stalling without any gear to start it up again.

Ted then took me to the main showroom of the collection where I met the delightful Adrian and his array of cars and memorabilia. The collection of cars in this showroom was by far one of the most impressive assemblage I’ve ever laid eyes on. It would have been rude of me to not jump straight into the Porsche 917 so naturally, that’s one of the first things I did! I ogled the McLaren F1 GTR Short-tail, drooled longingly over the Aston Martin DBR9 and stared at the beautiful way light reflected off of the stunning McLaren F1 GTR Long-tail.

These cars are each rich with their own history and it was such a delight to have been introduced to them and treated to just a snippet of their tales.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - What not to do on a Ferrari Test Drive - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

california crash 600x353 at Oof, Madon! Ferrari California Test Drive Goes Wrong

You see that wall in front of this Ferrari? Well, in a moment the two are going to meet! That is a summary of what happened on this Ferrari California test drive in Maranello. Driver too aggressive, car too tricky to handle, bang, boom, shouting, embarrassment. It is kinda painful to watch.

Maranello residents must be used to this kind of stuff, though. This is, after all, the city ofFerrari. Lots of customers like to test drive their cars around this mythical place, and let’s face it, most of them are pretty average drivers.

We have sneaking suspicion the California of this test drive had its traction control either fully off or in the most aggressive setting. You can hear in the video the automatic transmission upshifts at redline, and the most obvious clue, of course, is the fact that the back end of the car let go so easily on partial throttle.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - FERRARI 330 P4 - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

We've long been fans of Petrolicious filmmaker Josh Clason's car vids so when the email tip-off about his latest effort on the Ferrari 330 P4 came in it was an automatic Time For Tea? selection.

The car, it goes without saying, is a beaut and its driver Nick Longhi (credited as 'Ferrari Corso Pilota instructor and race prep engineer for private collection') is eloquent in his description of what makes it so special. "You don't have to change the way you think, the way you behave, you just drive, you just drive it and go. That's incredibly rare," he says. Yes, his job sounds pretty cool. Typically for one of Clason's films the camerawork is lush and he lets the car speak for itself with languid, indulgent camerawork and plenty of raw engine noise. No jump cuts or pumpin' tunes here, thank god.

Ferrari has a decent tech and history entry on its customer site which you can check out here but, for now, here's the vid. Make sure you turn it up loud to annoy your workmates.

Here is a video showing a high-performance car that is part of a wedding procession doing a reckless doughnut in the heart of Sydney.  The footage shows the drive of the F430 Spyder come to a stop on Elizabeth Street near Martin Place.  The car pulls in the left lane before spinning the wheels and sliding across four lanes of traffic to execute the doughnut surrounded by busy traffic.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - [VIDEO] Ferrari LaFerrari with fire problems? - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

[VIDEO] Ferrari LaFerrari with fire problems?

Did this Ferrari LaFerrari has just caught fire under the camera lenses during an Italian hill climb?
It seems that Italian supercars, and not only, have not put their spontaneous combustion problems aside despite new ones have been presented and they are exclusive, expensive and very powerful. The model we are talking about is a brand new Ferrari LaFerrari which seems to have some minor damages after getting too hot during the Trento-Bondone Hill Climb, in Italy. You can see, in the video posted below, the hybrid supercar with smoke coming out of its engine compartment.

The most powerful ever road-legal supercar to come out form the Maranello facility and also the first hybrid vehicle to wear the “prancing horse” logo on its body, the Ferrari LaFerrari, has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. It has a 6.3L V12 unit under its hood and an electric motor, sporting a total of 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The rear-mid engined, rear-wheel drive supercar needs less than 3 seconds to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph)

Lord March has welcomed racing legends past and present at the motor circuit, including Damon Hill, Lewis Hamilton, John Surtees and Kimi Räikkönen, who was making his debut at the Festival of Speed.
The last day of the event was one of the most exciting, with Surtees and Räikkönen driving title-winning Ferraris in tandem up the hillclimb.

This marks the 50th anniversary of Surtees’ 1964 Formula One World Championship triumph.
He once more got behind the wheel of his 1964 Ferrari 158 F1, while Räikkönen drove the Ferrari F2007 he steered to victory in 2007.

Damon Hill said: ‘This is always a great event, and really does get better and better every year. It’s wonderful for the area, and for people who love motorsport.’

Also racing yesterday afternoon was female racing driver Lorina McLaughlin, in a Benetton B192.

Vintage and Exotic Car Restoration Livermore - Ferrari LaFerrari Gets its Face Rearranged by VW Golf in Monaco - FZ Restoration Livermore- (925) 294-5666

So…it seems that a Ferrari LaFerrari got into a face-altering accident with a silver Volkswagen Golf hatchback in the beautiful streets of the Principality of Monaco.
There's no information on how it happened, nor about who owns the Italian carbon-fiber exotic, but if it is indeed a privately owned car as most of us suspect, it could be the first consumer LaFerrari crash – though, you might want to hold back on the congratulations…
