Did this Ferrari LaFerrari has just caught fire under the
camera lenses during an Italian hill climb?
It seems that Italian supercars, and not only, have not put
their spontaneous combustion problems aside despite new ones have been
presented and they are exclusive, expensive and very powerful. The model we are
talking about is a brand new Ferrari LaFerrari which seems to have some minor
damages after getting too hot during the Trento-Bondone Hill Climb, in Italy.
You can see, in the video posted below, the hybrid supercar with smoke coming
out of its engine compartment.
The most powerful ever road-legal supercar to come out form
the Maranello facility and also the first hybrid vehicle to wear the “prancing
horse” logo on its body, the Ferrari LaFerrari, has been officially presented
to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. It has a 6.3L V12 unit under
its hood and an electric motor, sporting a total of 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm
(664 lb-ft) of torque. The rear-mid engined, rear-wheel drive supercar needs
less than 3 seconds to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can
reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph)
